Zapotec wool rug, 'Earth's Splendor' (4x6)

Shading from coffee and tan to ochre and gold, earth tones reveal their innate splendor in this exquisite rug. Sunlight plays across the design while clouds cast blue shadows in an elegant handloomed masterpiece. Gregorio Ruiz Lopez takes his inspiration from the world around him for this piece, named "Rayas Tierra" in Spanish. Because each rug is individually woven by hand, measurements could vary +/- 5 cm.
